The “Loop” area close to Washington University, in University City (an older suburb that is contiguous to the city of St. Louis) has a good hotel, the Moonrise, and that area, the Loop, is the liveliest part of town, with restaurants, bars, and shops lining both sides of the street for perhaps half a mile. Live music. Chuck Berry. Blueberry Hill. And there is easy public transportation from there to the University of Missouri, St. Louis (UMSL). The area immediately around UMSL is quiet and residential. We’ll provide a shuttle from the loop to the university, to supplement the public transportation. And then too there will be people here who have cars and will be more than willing to help out with transportation.
